Blackened Chicken

Tender, juicy, and OH SO flavorful, this blackened chicken recipe is a great addition to any dish!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • ½ teaspoon paprika, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder each
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano and salt each
  • teaspoon cayenne optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Prep. Prehead the oven to 350℉ and line a baking sheet with alumnimum foil. Next, rinse the chicken breasts and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut each breast lengthwise.
  • Mix and Rub on the Spices: Mix the spices in a small bowl. Sprinkle and rub the spices on both sides of the chicken breast.
  • Sear on the Stove: Preheat a large pan wiht olive oil on the stove on medium-high. Sear each side of the chicken breast for 1 minute per side.
  • Bake the Chicken. Once seared, place chicken on prepared baking sheet and bake in the oven for 6-8 minutes or until chicken reaches 160℉. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes.
